NEUROSPHERE

The Neurosphere web site is a guide to the work of Don Dulchinos, spanning energy and environmental technology and policy, telecommunications and Internet technology and policy, and studies in the psychology of consciousness.  The through line for this work is an evolutionary and developmental perspective on a world population that is growing larger, more diverse, and yet more connected.

The word “neurosphere” is my terminology, derived from noosphere as coined and defined by Jesuit scientist and theologian Pierre Teilhard de Chardin as a global consciousness or mind. My book Neurosphere updated Teihardian thought in context of the dawn of the 21st century Internet that Teilhard effectively had prophesized. That work has been updated through the analysis and application of the developmental psychology model of Clare Graves. And my work in energy and climate has come full circle, initially inspired by “whole earth” philosophy via Steward Brand, and now characterized by an emerging geodesic network of distributed energy resources.

Climate, technology, population growth and human development have become the defining characteristics of life/consciousness on Earth in the 21st century.
